Muscle Maker Grill Greenville NC recently celebrated four years of offering healthy and delicious food options to athletes and diet-conscious diners in Greenville.
The restaurant is at 3150 Evans St. Suite P in Lynncroft Shopping Center, beside Best Buy.
The diverse menu takes fast-casual restaurant favorites -- like burgers, pastas, flatbreads, bowls, smoothies, and wraps -- and turns them into healthy, no-guilt meals. They offer gluten-free options, and also cater to both vegetarian and vegan diets.
"I opened Muscle Maker Grill with the goal to serve my customers fresh food made from scratch," said franchise owner Ahmad Aboshie.
"We offer food full of essential nutrients and benefits to your health. All our meals are fresh, never frozen.”
For instance, Muscle Maker Grill makes a pizza with a cauliflower crust! Topped with marinara sauce and cheese, it's guilt-free and gluten-free! You may even build your own cauliflower crust pizza with MMG's ingredients such as turkey pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers, and turkey bacon.
MMG also offers a variety of healthy burger options -- with patties of grass-fed beef, turkey, grilled chicken, veggie, or the plant-based Impossible Burger. The Classic Burger includes reduced-fat Cheddar cheese, turkey bacon, MMG's zero-carb signature sauce, lettuce, tomato, and onion on a whole wheat bun. The Mushroom Supreme is topped with part-skim Mozzarella cheese, sauteed mushrooms and onions, and lettuce. The burgers are served on a whole wheat bun with sweet potato fries on the side.
The chain's salads include Turkey Taco, with lean ground turkey, red beans, reduced-fat Cheddar cheese, romaine, tomatoes, scallions, salsa and fat-free sour cream; and Kale and Quinoa, with grain quinoa, grilled chicken, roasted red peppers, fresh avocado, and Asian sesame ginger dressing on a power blend of romaine, spinach and baby kale.
The MMG Signature Wrap features grilled chicken breast, turkey bacon, reduced-fat Cheddar cheese, romaine, tomatoes and onions with the chain's zero-carb signature sauce.
Pastas include penne and reduced-fat vodka sauce with chicken; Cajun chicken in a red wine brown sauce over penne, garnished with tomatoes and scallions; and Sesame Chicken Teriyaki Pasta.
Grain bowls, served over brown rice, include flavors from Asia, Mexico, Italy or the Southwest.
Flatbreads range from the simple -- Classic White with part-skim Mozzarella, Parmesan, spinach and roasted garlic -- to The Works, with turkey meatballs, turkey bacon, turkey pepperoni, part-skim mozzarella, red onions, green peppers, mushrooms and fat-free marinara sauce.
MMG also offers a Meal Plan Program that provides prepared daily meals for subscribers who are interested in bulking up or slimming down. Patrons may pre-order online or by phone from a menu of 22 different items, then pick them up or have them delivered. The dietitian-approved meals -- from low carbohydrates to high protein, low fat to gluten-free -- make it easy for people with active lifestyles and busy days to eat the diet that's right for them. The flexibility of customizing meal plans helps to cater to a wide variety of needs and wants specific to each customer.

Aboshie has been involved with restaurants in Greenville for years, including a Mediterranean restaurant and City Fried Chicken. He sold his ownership in both of them to open Muscle Maker Grill.
