South Central Volleyball wins on Senior Night

South Central volleyball closed out their home regular season with a sweep of CB Aycock on Senior Night Tuesday, setting up a battle for first place in the conference when the Falcons visit DH Conley on Friday, Oct. 12.

Seniors Amya Evans, Courtney Powers, and Jaden Pretlow were honored prior to the match by their coaches and teammates.

Set 1: SC 24, CB Aycock 11

Set 2: SC 25, CB Aycock 17

Set 3: SC 25, CB Aycock 16

South Central improves to 16-1 and 8-1 in conference play.


Ali Ruffin: 9 kills, 1 ace, 4 digs

Amya Evans: 6 kills

Brylee Phillips: 6 kills, 5 aces, 1 block

Grace Sweers: 22 assists, 7 aces, 9 digs

Paris Joyner: 8 digs, 16 serve receives

Junior Varsity

The South Central JV Volleyball team swept CB Aycock on Tuesday to get a conference victory. The JV team now is 21-2 on the season, 7-2 in conference play.

They took set one 25-23 and won set two 25-10.

Next South Central JV travels to DH Conley, with the match set to start at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12.
