South Central volleyball gets victory vs New Bern

South Central, ranked third in MaxPreps 4A rankings, showed moments of dominance with a balanced attack to defeat New Bern 3 sets to 1.

After losing the first set, South Central took the next three sets, holding leads of 10+ points in each.

Set 1: SC 24, NB 26

Set 2: SC 25, NB 19

Set 3: SC 25, NB 14

Set 4: SC 25, NB 22

South Central improves to 15-1 and 7-1 in conference play.

The Lady Falcons return home to play C.B. Aycock on Tuesday, Oct.9.

Brylee Phillips: 11 kills, 1 block

Grace Sweers: 28 assists, 14 digs, 4 aces

Paris Joyner: 15 digs, 28 serve/receives, 2 aces

Junior Varsity

The South Central JV volleyball team swept New Bern on Thursday to get a conference victory. The JV team now is 11-2 on the season, 6-2 in conference play.

They took set one 25-16 and won set two 25-17.

South Central JV hosts CB Aycock at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9.
