DH Conley cross country girls finish 1st, boys 2nd at Southern Wayne meet

The DH Conley Girls Cross Country teams took home first place in a conference meet at Southern Wayne on Wednesday while the boys finished second.
Emma Cole and Eve Curtis finished 1-2 to lead the DH Conley girls cross country to a win against several ECC conference teams. Cole finished with her season best time of 21:35, while Curtis finished in 22:57. Also finishing in the top 10 were Alyssa Rambert (8th, 25:43) and Angela Anderson (10th, 26:11).
The Viking boys placed 2nd to CB Aycock. John Anderson led the Vikings with a 3rd place individual finish in a time of 18:34. Kyle Hardee finished 5th with a season best time of 19:16.
The Vikings' next meet is Saturday when they face off against top schools from NC, VA, GA, FL and MD in the Great American XC invitational in Cary.
