JH Rose volleyball wins second 5-set thriller in 4 days

The JH Rose Rampants volleyball

teams both won on Friday and each team avenged earlier losses to Wilmington Ashley.

It was the varsity Rampants' second victory in the past four days that required five sets. Rose defeated Cleveland on Tuesday night.

The Rampants won the first and third sets (25-17 and 25-22) while Ashley took sets two and four (252-20 and 25-21) to set up the deciding fifth set.

The Rampants took the final set 15-13.

JH Rose is now 5-1 with the win.

JH Rose begins conference play on Tuesday when they host South Central High School.

The JH Rose Rampants JV team captured their first win of the season by defeating Wilmington Ashley in two sets -- 25-18 and 25-22.
