JH Rose volleyball wins five set thriller on the road

The JH Rose Rampants varsity volleyball team won a five set thriller at Cleveland High School on Tuesday night

It was the Rampants' second victory in a week over the team that knocked JH Rose out of the 2017 NCHSAA playoffs.

The Rampants won the first and third sets while Cleveland took sets two and four to set up the deciding fifth set. The Rampants took the final set 15-13.

The Rampants improved to 4-1 on the year with the win.

JH Rose has a rematch at home vs Wilmington Ashley on Friday. Ashley is currently undefeated, has not lost a set yet this season and handed the Rampants their only loss on the season.

The JH Rose Rampants JV team dropped their match to Cleveland High School in two sets -- 21-25 and 23-25.
