Rose Varsity Volleyball opens season with win

The JH Rose Rampants varsity volleyball team opened the 2018 season Tuesday against Cleveland High School, the school that eliminated them in the third round of the 2017 NCHSAA 3A playoffs.

The Rampants exacted a little revenge by getting the victory 3 sets to 1.

After dropping the first set 27-25, the Rampants won the final three sets, 25-23, 25-19 and 25-23.


Holly Gibson: 20 assists, 8 digs

Abby Wordsworth: 16 kills, 12 digs

Mary Hannah Sawyer: 9 kills, 8 digs

JH Rose travels to Wilmington on Friday for a Tri-Match at Ashley.

Junior Varsity

The JH Rose Rampants JV team dropped their match to Cleveland 2-0. Cleveland won the first set 25-22 and the second set 25-20.


Bella Hoch: 6 kills
