Greenville 13u All Stars get big win on Sunday

The Greenville 13u Babe Ruth All Stars bounced back from their Friday night loss and defeated the Southwest champion Eagle Pass, Texas, 4-2 at the 2018 13u Babe Ruth World Series in Mountain Home, Ark.
In a must-win game to keep winning the pool division an option, Greenville starting pitcher Chase Anderson threw 6 2/3 innings, giving up only three hits and striking out two. Tyler Bonds came in to get the final out with a strikeout.
Greenville took a 1-0 lead in the third inning when Owen Boyd scored on a Joseph Byrnes RBI single.
Trailing 2-1 going into the 5th inning the Southeast champs scored three runs with two outs, highlighted by Campbell Seymour's 2-RBI single to give Greenville the lead it would never relinquish.
Greenville finishes pool play Monday at noon when they face the Pacific Southwest champion, Five Cities, Calif.
