The Pitt County 10u All Stars staved off elimination in the 2018 Babe Ruth Softball World Series with two wins on Friday, including a come-from-behind walk-off win in the second game of the day against St. Charles Parish, La.

Pitt County rallied from deficits of 7-1 and 9-4 to move the game to extra innings. After both team went scoreless in the 7th and 8th innings, St. Charles loaded the bases in the top of the 9th with no outs. But Brinley Hamilton came in to pitch and got a force out, a strikeout and a pop out to end the threat.

In the bottom of the 9th, Raelyn Jones got a one-out single and Kaylin Pilgreen lined a double to right center field allowing Jones to score all the way from first.

Pitt County pounded out 13 hits including a 5-for-5 effort by Cheyenne Forbes, who also had 5 RBI's in the game.

Pitt County advances to take on Germantown at 9 a.m. Saturday in another elimination game. The winner of that game will then take on undefeated WVAC at 3 p.m. Saturday. A win in that game would force a winner-take-all championship game at 5 p.m. Saturday.
