Here's the schedule for ECU's Pirate Pigskin Pig-out this weekend

The 35th annual Pirate Pigskin Pig-out, a celebration of pork and football, will be held Friday and Saturday in Greenville in honor of East Carolina University's spring football scrimmage game at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.
The two-day event includes a pig-cooking contest, barbecue plate sale and live music.

Friday, March 23, 2018
2:30 p.m. – ECU Women’s Tennis
The Pirates host the Richmond Spiders at River Birch Tennis Center.
3 p.m. – ECU Volleyball
The Pirates host a scrimmage in Minges Coliseum from 3 – 8 pm.
5:30 PM – Gates to Dowdy-Ficklen open.
Free admission and free parking.
5:30-8 p.m. – Pirate Equipment Sale
A wide array of Pirate gear from past years will be available for purchase including jerseys, athletic equipment, bags, and much more. Cash and credit will be accepted. Held in the men’s practice gym in the Smith-Williams Center.
7 p.m. – Parade of Pigs
Delivery truck makes its winding way through the confines of Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium. 40 teams begin cooking for the annual barbecue competition.
8-10 p.m. – Live Music by Jessica Hudson and Thorne
11 p.m. – Stadium closes to the public

7 a.m. – Parking lots open
All lots are open and FREE. Spots will be filled on a first come first served basis. Please be aware that it is also Pirates Aboard! Day on campus. Parking lots will fill quickly.
7:30 a.m. – Pig-Out Pig Cookin’
40 teams will be judged by North Carolina Pork Council certified judges.
10 a.m.–3 p.m. – Pirate Equipment Sale
A wide array of Pirate gear from past years will be available for purchase including jerseys, athletic equipment, bags, and much more. Cash and credit will be accepted. Held in the men’s practice gym in the Smith-Williams Center.
10:30 a.m.-noon – ECU Parents Council Meeting
This event is open to all ECU Parents and will be held in the Club Level of Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium. Email parents@ecu.edu for more information.
10:30 a.m. – BBQ Awards Ceremony
Awards for pig-cooking teams will be held underneath the Boneyard.
11 a.m. – BBQ Plates for Sale
A BBQ Meal, which includes barbecue and fixins, is available for $8 (includes state sales tax). Beverages and additional concessions also will be available for purchase. A drive-thru location will be accessible along Ficklen Drive.
You can also preorder bulk BBQ by calling the ticket office at 252-737-4500 (all prices include state sales tax).
$8 – 16 oz container (approximately 1 pound)
$85 – 4 gallon bucket (approximately 30-35 pounnds)
$20 – Tailgate Package includes 16 oz of BBQ and four servings of slaw, potato salad and hush puppies
11 a.m.-1 p.m. – Kids Zone
Kids’ games, music and other entertainment. The area is located outside of Gate 5 of Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.
11-11:30 a.m. – Team Meet and Greet
While you enjoy your meal, visit with this year's team as they sign autographs and mingle with their fellow Pirates.
Noon – ECU Women’s Lacrosse
The Pirates host Delaware State at Johnson Stadium.
Noon – ECU Men’s Tennis
The Pirates host Georgia Southern at River Birch Tennis Center.
Noon – Gates to Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium open
Noon-12:30 p.m. – PeeDee’s Birthday Party
Help costumed Pirate mascot PeeDee celebrate his birthday with free cupcakes to the first 100 kids. The party will take place in the Kids Zone located by Gate 5 of Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.
1 p.m. – Purple/Gold Spring Scrimmage
There is no admission fee to attend the 2018 spring game.
2 p.m. – ECU Softball
The Pirates host conference opponent Houston at the ECU Softball Stadium.
