Tasting event will benefit Vidant children's hospital

The fifth annual International Taste of Greenville will be held from 5:30-9:30 p.m. Thursday, April 27 at the Hilton Greenville, 207 S.W. Greenville Blvd. The event benefits the James and Connie Maynard Children's Hospital at Vidant Medical Center. Ticket holders may taste samples of food prepared and donated by area restaurants representing cuisines of countries from around the world.

Participating restaurants include Abrams (United States), Bateeni Mediterranean (Palestine), Bonefish Grill (Barbados), Brook Valley Country Club (US), Cheddar's (Spain), Famous Baking Company (Greek), Golden Corral (Ireland), Kasturi Indian Cuisine (India), Kona Ice (Iceland), Longhorn Steakhouse (US), Marabella/Nino's (Italy), Olive Garden (Italy), On the Waterfront (Jamaica), Outback Steakhouse (Australia), Rock Springs Center (France), Sam Jones BBQ (US), Sue Dail Cakes, The Rickhouse (US), Tie Breakers (United Kingdom), Vanilla Bean Bakery, Villedge/Hilton Greenville (Cuba), Zoe's Kitchen (Greek). A silent auction also will be held. Tickets are $100 per person and are available online.
