Greenville ArtWalk is held on first Fridays

ArtWalk is about walking from place to place in downtown Greenville and looking at art, right? So it's just for the arty people? Well, no. It's that -- and more. On the first Friday of the month, galleries, restaurants and businesses in Greenville's downtown business district and the adjacent Dickinson Avenue Historic District throw open their doors from 5-8 p.m. There are art exhibits, to be sure. Participating restaurants and breweries offer specials. And folks talking self-guided walking tours can jump on the Jolly Trolley for free transportation. The event is hosted by Uptown Greenville, a nonprofit organization that promotes Greenville's central business district.
