The D.H. Conley High School softball team is ranked No. 19 in the country by high school sports news website MaxPreps.
Conley is the only high school team in North Carolina earning a spot in the Top 25.
The Vikings, coached by Wayne Dean, have won all four of their games this season.
Their conference schedule begins Thursday, March 16 at 5 p.m. at home against crosstown rival J.H. Rose High School.
Last season, Conley was one of the final four teams in the North Carolina High School Athletic Association's 4-A Softball State Championship.
Softball teams from Conley won three state championships in the last six years.
Conley is at 2006 Worthington Road.
