St. Paddy's Day Festival is March 11

Greenville's annual St. Patrick's Day Festival will be held Saturday, March 11, six days in advance of the date of the traditional Irish holiday. The free, all-ages festival will be held from noon-4 p.m. at Five Points Plaza, the parking lot at the corner of Fifth and Evans streets. There will be live music by Irish tenor Bill Redding & Friends and North Carolina "Celtic punk-grass" band The Tan and Sober Gentleman. Festivities also include Irish dancing by students of the N.C. Academy of Dance Arts and children's activities, along with food trucks and a Grog Garden featuring green beer from Greenville's Trollingwood Taproom & Brewery. The festival is sponsored by Uptown Greenville, a nonprofit organization tasked with promoting Greenville's center city. Free hayrides will transport revelers from Five Points Plaza to GO-Science learning center at 729 Dickinson Avenue for the A Time for Science Expo. More events will be held in Greenville on St. Patrick's Day, Friday, March. 17.
