Sure, you've gone out to a club to hear someone else sing. You may even have participated in a round or two of karaoke in a bar. But now you have the opportunity to be part of a one-night event that combines going out on the town, having a glass of wine and joining your voice with other local residents who also love to sing and sip. You'll even have a choir director and put on a choral concert!
Raise a glass and raise your voice in song at the first Wine and Sing night at Greenville's new Whirligig Stage performance space, 628 S. Pitt St. The evening of music and libations will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Feb. 22.
Anyone over age 21 may join the impromptu musical group. No auditions, prior training -- or talent -- are required.
Participants will be provided with a bottle of wine and Whirligig Stage's experienced choir director Aimee Radics will lead the vocal rehearsal.
Then the one-night-only Whirligig choir will head over to nearby Trollingwood Brewery on Dickinson Avenue to perform.
Cost is $30 per person, and advance registration is not required. Call 252-689-8092 or visit whirligigstage.com.
