The 9th annual Kappa Delta Shamrock 5K run/walk fund-raiser will be held in Greenville Saturday, Feb. 25.
Sponsored by the East Carolina University chapter of Kappa Delta sorority, the 5K will raise money for Help Prevent Child Abuse America. Local proceeds will go to the Greenville's TEDI BEAR Advocacy Center, an organization that provides medical care to victims of child abuse, emotional support and counseling to the families and prevention education to the community..
The 5K will begin at the Town Common on First Street beside the Tar River. Greenville Mayor Allen Thomas will give a welcome and the 5k will begin at 10 a.m.
Registration fee is $20 for participants ages 13 and older and $10 for participants aages 12 and under.
