Are you involved with something new that you would like the readers to know about: We recently started a non-profit called the HYPE Leadership Institute. Within the Institute, we have started a program called Funday Monday. The focus is early reading intervention for boys aged 5-8. We hope to inspire, encourage, and motivate young men to develop an appreciation for reading. We hope to have an extension to the program by next year and be able to offer after school homework help and tutorials. We will have quarterly leadership seminars and invite guest speakers to pour into community young men.
Favorite local place for a bite to eat, a drink, or a cup of coffee with a friend: I actually like Cheddars; I love anything with shrimp but the New Orleans Pasta is delicious. I also visited Villa Verde recently and the cilantro lime sauce they brought out made me crave grilled pork chops and rice for days.
