Lunch on the patio - On the Waterfront

In the spring, lunch just begs to be eaten outside. Sure, you could pack a sandwich and head over to the Town Common for a picnic.Or you can dine at a Greenville restaurant with a patio. This week's Lunch on the Patio choice is On the Waterfront in Washington, NC.

As its name suggests, On the Waterfront restaurant is on the waterfront. The restaurant's covered patio takes full advantage of its location. Diners can watch boats on the Pamlico River and folks walking along the brick riverwalk. The patio is accessible in any weather thanks to roll-down plastic curtains for rainy days, ceiling fans for hot days and outdoor heaters for cold days.

There's seating for 30 or more at black wrought iron tables and chairs.

Music at lunch included beach music and soft rock tunes.

The restaurant is owned by a group of locals and specializes in seafood and steaks. There's an oyster bar and a cocktail bar with specialty drinks.
