A Greenville franchise of Clean Eatz has opened in Greenville's Arlington Village shopping center.
Clean Eatz offers food in its most natural form in balanced portions, according to its website.
The local restaurant will have a quick-serve cafe with smoothies and a menu of healthy meals catering to all diets.
Fare includes pita and hummus, cranberry chicken salad, teriyaki turkey burger, tilapia taco, grilled goat cheese sandwich, flatbreads, wraps and bowls. Beverages -- tea, pink lemonade or water of the day -- are included with entrees.
Everything on the menu is under 500 calories and 10 grams of fat.
Meal plans are available for five or more pre-packaged meals, each of which is properly portioned with a balance of protein, carbs and fats, with menus that change every week.
Grab-and-go meals also will be offered.
A Wilmington, N.C., husband and wife who are competitive body builders founded Clean Eatz when they couldn't find a place to eat out that met their dietary restrictions.
Greenville franchisees are Scott and Carol Mueller.
